Marissa Ann Goldin of Nanuet was arrested around 12:36 a.m. Thursday for DWI, passing a red light and driving with a blood-alcohol level higher than .08 percent after the crash on Main Street in New City, said Rockland County Sheriff's Office Chief William Barbera.

The crash occurred when Goldin drove through a steady red light striking a marked Rockland County Sheriff Patrol vehicle, Barbera said.

"The accident caused injury to the patrol officer who was brought to Nyack Hospital," he added.

Goldin was given a series of sobriety test and it was determined that she was intoxicated, police said.

She was arrested, processed and released to appear at the Town of Clarkstown Justice Court on Feb. 6.
